- Usage Methods: The Flexitrace offers two primary ways to locate ducts and drains:
- Sonde Mode: Activate the sonde by energizing the end coil, connecting both terminals to the generator. This helps determine the end point and depth of the duct or drain
- Line Mode: Trace the direction of non-metallic ducts or drains by attaching a signal generator to one terminal and an earth stake to the other. Push the Flexitrace through the duct and trace along its length using a CAT Receiver
- Ideal for Narrow Ducts: The compact end coil (8.3mm diameter) and flexible 6mm rod make the Flexitrace perfect for locating narrow ducts
- Compatibility: The Flexitrace is suitable for use with most C.A.T and signal generator systems
- Sonde Mode Operation: Connect both terminals of the Flexitrace to the signal generator for sonde mode operation
- Line Mode Operation: Energize the entire trace system by connecting one terminal to the signal generator and the other to the earth rod for line mode operation
- ROD: High-quality 6mm reinforced fibreglass rod with two 0.5mm copper trace wires, featuring UV-inhibited coating and a tuned coil in a robust nylon housing
- FRAME: Rugged steel construction with weatherproof powder coat finish, incorporating a compact junction box fitted with quality screw lugs for signal generator attachment
